I make pottery that concerns change: growth, erosion, order and disorder. Inspired by pattern and by landscape, my pieces often reference natural theatre like wind whipped grasses, turbulent skies or melting ice and snow. I work to depict visual movement across or down the surface of my pottery and also to embed movement into the surface, revealing and concealing layers.

My collection of ceramics inspired by rhythm, pattern, and landscape- both wild and cultivated. Often referencing the natural theatre of wind whipped grasses, turbulent skies or melting ice and snow, I am drawn to imagery that concerns change: growth, erosion, order and disorder. I love that making pottery allows me to work in series, allowing me to fully develop my ideas while giving me the freedom to work on a variety of designs. As my pots are used throughout daily living I hope that they convey a sense of elegance, but also the wonder and playfulness I feel in making them.
